Brent Dedas received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Louisville and his Masters of Fine Arts from the College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning, University of Cincinnati. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Center for the Visual Arts, University of Toledo. Past teaching experiences include: advanced and foundations classes at The University of Louisville, studio art classes at Jefferson Community College, advanced painting and drawing in New York for the French Woods Festival of Performing Arts, life drawing for the University of Cincinnati, and as an instructor for the Louisville Visual Art Association, Artopia program.
He is the recipient of several awards which include: Vice President for Research Grant and the Allen R. Hite Scholarship from the University of Louisville, and an Award for Design from the Intercollegiate Press. Brent has exhibited his work both in the U.S. and internationally. His first solo show was in 2002 at the Erin Devine Gallery of Contemporary Art in Louisville. Since then he has shown his work in numerous exhibitions including: Ardgillan Exhibition in Dublin, and the Belfast Festival at Queens. His work is in both public and private collections.
